Our Story

Years before becoming a real estate agent, Faustino was heavily involved in baseball. Right after college, Fausti played in a semi-pro league, and had the pleasure of playing under the tutelage of the greatest game manager in that day – his father. The team had an incredible track record, winning 15 Championships in 19 years. Baseball was always a huge part of his life throughout high school and college, and Fausti remained actively playing for almost 20 years in the same league.  Part of his involvement with the baseball community included being recruited as the baseball supervisor for the City of Miami.  All baseball affairs for the city ran through Fausti when he was in his very early 20’s.

In keeping with his love for the game and his love for working with children, Fausti used to hold clinics in inner city neighborhoods with underprivileged children.  He would visit the parks and teach them about baseball, getting them involved and introducing a new sport to them.  Fausti’s sense of serving his community was always present.

Today, his son carries on his father’s passion as a baseball player himself, and Fausti is at every game, cheering him on.

In 1990, Fausti joined the City of Miami in a different role, becoming a Firefighter-Paramedic. Fausti served the City for 25 years before retiring, spending 15 years responding out of a rescue, and 10 years on a fire truck.

Fausti often participated in career day at his son’s school, going in and talking to the children about the fire department, showing them the equipment they use, and teaching them not to be afraid of what firefighters look like with all their gear on!

25 years after becoming a paramedic, Fausti was ready to retire and dedicate more time to his wife and young son. He served his community well, and his focus was now going to be on his family.

Real Estate was the obvious career focus for Fausti once he retired from the city.  He had been investing in real estate since the early 90’s, and even got his appraiser’s license in ’97.  He decided to get his real estate license in 2000, and was an active, full-time realtor from the start, making it a very natural transition for him to this new phase.

In 2004, Fausti and Marysell were introduced by a mutual friend. They hit it off right away and were inseparable from the start! They shared the same views on life, and their faith was present in their relationship from the very first day. It was love at first sight, but it was their hours-long conversations and their mutual devotion to God that really brought them together. In 2007, they tied the knot, and today their romance is still going strong!

Once Fausti Jr. was born, Marysell dedicated herself to taking care of their son and, as he grew,  always being involved with his school.  Her Business Management and Property Management experience was always a huge help for Faustino as a real estate agent, even if she remained behind the scenes!

Now that their son is a little older, Marysell has joined Faustino in his real estate career, and together they are the power couple behind Diaz Group Miami.

Their collaborative efforts have helped Faustino achieve Top Producer status multiple times in South Florida.  They have helped find the perfect home for a multitude of families, including those relocating to Miami from other parts of the country, as well as investors from around the world.
